Can't Live Without

Here are a few of my favorite things pertaining to toddler life & my sanity.
What do you & Audrey use on a daily basis?
Munchie Mug (I wish it was a little more stylish, and it only comes in one size...HUGE...but SnackTraps do not work for my clever little guy)
OXO plates (they have a lip, which keeps the scooped food on the spoon)
Summer Infant Tiny Diner placemat (this has gone beyond food...it is also great for keeping paper in one place while he paints or colors)

Homesick Towels

Dear Audrey,
Whenever my mommy is really missing Michigan, she pulls out her flour sack towels that your momma made for her, and it makes her very happy, but then she doesn't let anyone wipe their hands on them 'cause they're white. I don't think she understands what towels are for! ;)

Our First Store!

Today we played store! The conditions in my kitchen created the perfect storm in which this activity could take place:

1. A dirty floor in desperate need of a mopping

2. Fruits & vegetable that are just about to expire, so it's no big deal if they are dropped or thrown (i.e. potatoes with eyes, wilty asparagus & celery, spotty pumpkins & oranges)

3. Fruits & vegetables hearty enough to not end up as pulp or as George's afternoon snack (everything still goes in his mouth!)

We used blocks as currency & the wagon as our grocery cart!

Now, time to mop!

Food for Frogs

My post today is about Flies on a Plank. Now, I realize Ants on a Log are nothing new, but George hasn't yet enjoyed this particular delicacy because I'm just not sure he's ready for stringy, low nutritional value celery. Today {by complete happenstance} I served for lunch: raisins & peanut butter graham crackers. It just so happens George is really, REALLY into frogs. We do a lot of pretending to catch things on our tongues, a lot of ribbiting, and we've seen more than our fair share of YouTube frogs. Without planning it, we suddenly found ourselves ribbiting, and catching flies {raisins} on our tongues. Then I showed George how to put the "flies" on the "plank" of peanut butter graham cracker. To him, the raisin sticking to the cracker was miraculous and the raisins as flies were the ultimate in hilariousness! I highly recommend having a very froggy lunch for you & Audrey!

She's Crafty

My Momma had a craft show today here are some pics of her display. She sold Hair Accessories and Baby gifts including blankets, taggies felt food breakfast sets and crochet hats.

My Lil' Monkey

Dear Audrey,
I was Curious George for Halloween! My mommy made it too, but like I said before it was really simple: ears, tail, T-shirt. She made some monkey feet too, which were really just a tripping hazard, but I think it made her feel like she put a little bit of effort into my costume! She's so odd.
