She's Crafty

My Momma had a craft show today here are some pics of her display. She sold Hair Accessories and Baby gifts including blankets, taggies felt food breakfast sets and crochet hats.

My Lil' Monkey

Dear Audrey,
I was Curious George for Halloween! My mommy made it too, but like I said before it was really simple: ears, tail, T-shirt. She made some monkey feet too, which were really just a tripping hazard, but I think it made her feel like she put a little bit of effort into my costume! She's so odd.

Me Love Costumes

Dear Audrey,

We really got into costumes around here with Halloween. My mommy made me an Elmo & a Cookie Monster mask just for fun. I think she felt bad that my costume was so simple, but what can you do? Curious George is just not a very detailed costume. We'll post Halloween pictures in a bit. I hear you were a witch, and your mommy made everything, please post pictures and details soon!!

1. Paper templates...this is Elmo, but I used the same pieces for Cookie (just added a few more bumps & made the eyes smaller)
 2. Here are the felt pieces, just glue them together! I used stiff felt for the face shape & the eyes.
3. Grandma Susie thought it would be better if they were on popsicle sticks so that I could be in control and so that I wouldn't get mad when my mom tied the mask to my face! Thanks Grandma Susie.

She's Crafty (Gourds w/ George)

Today I carved pumpkins for Halloween. Well...my mom carved face shapes out of sticky-backed felt with scissors, & then I stuck the sticky felt to the pumpkins (Mr-Potato-Head-style). I created a true Picasso-esque masterpiece, but before my mom could snap a picture...I ripped the stickers off the pumpkin & threw them in the dirt! Why? Because I'm a toddler. That's why. Don't let my mom fool you. She decorated those perfect pumpkins in the picture (above) while I was taking a nap.
